Neeraj Chopra ruled out of Commonwealth Games 2022 due to injury 

It is one of the biggest setbacks to the hopes of gold medal in the Commonwealth games which will be held in Birmingham from Thursday (July 28).He himself took his name out from this event due to long injury and he also stated that he was not completely fit in the finals of World Athletics Championships in Eugene .


Neeraj Chopra has to lead India in the opening ceremony of Commonwealth Games on Thursday (July 28) at  Bermingham . The javelin star recently won a silver medal in the World Athletics Championships which were held in Eugene last week .


Neeraj was unable to give his best in the finals of World Athletics Championships due to injury in hem strings and he compromised with silver medal in Eugene but he wants to win gold there.


It is confirmed by the experts and fans that Neeraj will win a gold medal easily in the Commonwealth Games due to his past performance in the Olympics and World Athletics Championships but this is a huge setback to all the fans of the javelin star .


He underwent an MRI scan the day after winning a silver medal in Eugene and subsequently advised to take a rest for next one month by doctors ,according to Rajeev Mehta, the secretary-general of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA).


Rajeev Mehta also stated that the new flag bearer for the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games will be decided soon with the advice of IOA office-bearers.
