Sri Lanka score 315/6 at the end of Day1 of Second test
In the 2nd test of two test match series between Sri Lanka and Pakistan , Sri Lanka decided to bat first after winning a toss here in the morning at Galle International Stadium
First Session goes to Pakistan
Sri Lanka started well in the first session and got good starts from both openers O.Fernando and skipper Karunaratne , both scored 50 and 40 runs respectively. But they are unable to score big after getting a good start as Yashir Shah and Mohammed Nawaz take wickets of both openers.
After losing back to back two wickets Sri Lanka is in little trouble but when Kusal Mendis got run out after lunch they may think about the start they got from their openers. On the other hand , Pakistan bowlers came back and were happy at the end of the first session of the test match .
Sri Lanka dominate 2nd Session
After losing two quick wickets at the end of first session, Sri Lanka came back strongly and dominated the 2nd session of the test match by scoring 85 runs at the loss of one wicket.
Two experienced men from Sri Lanka , Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal came back from Sri Lanka by creating a half century partnership before tea . Their rate of scoring is a bit low in the early partnership but they change their geir at the end of the session and score more freely.
On the other hand , Pakistan is disappointed by the performance of their bowlers , Pak bowlers are inconsistent with their line and length and don’t bowl as per their plans. Wicket in Galle has something for spin bowlers as Yashir Shah takes one wicket but he is not consistent with his bowling lengths.
