Neetaj Chopra qualify for the finals of World Athletics Championships in just 12 seconds

Neeraj Chopra India’s Olympic gold medallist qualified for another final of World Athletics Championships on Friday in just 12 seconds with his first throw of 88.39m in the Hayward Field , Eugene , Oregon .

As per qualification criteria, an athlete who clear 83.50m or best 12 athletes across 2 qualification round groups will qualify for the finals of Javelin throw in World Athletics Championships. 

It is noticeable that this is third best throw from Neeraj Chopra with a distance of 88.39m in his carrier. And this is a first time Neeraj Chopra qualifies for the finals of World Athletic Championships.As he missed out qualification in his debut year in 2017 and he had later missed 2019 world athletics championships due to injury.

Apart from Neeraj Chopra , India’s Rohit Yadav also qualify for finals with the best throw of 80.42m today in Eugene .

Moreover, Eldhose Pual also qualified for the final in triple-jump with the best jump of 16.68m. whereas, Praveen Chithravel and Abdulla Aboobacker missed qualification for finals as they finished at 17th and 19th position, respectively.
