Lord’s to Host the Final of World Test Championship 2023 and 2025
Lord’s Cricket ground is selected for the finals of World Test Championship cycle 2023 and 2025. The ICC had confirmed this on Tuesday during its annual conference in Birmingham .
Lord’s Cricket ground was also selected for the finals of the inaugural session of ICC World test Championship 2021 but that was moved to Southampton due to worst weather conditions at Lord’s.
The first edition of the World Test Championship was won by New Zealand by beating India in the finals at Southampton last year in the month of June .
During the conference at Birmingham, ICC had approved the FTPs for 2023-2027 for both men and women and the calendar will be published in the upcoming days .
WTC Final Qualification Criteria
This session of the World Test Championship is very interesting because many teams are fighting for top 2 positions and the rules for this session had also been revised last year . In this edition of WTC the teams will qualify for the finals as per the percentage of total wins to the number of matches played.
WTC Final Date
It has been confirmed that the finals of WTC will be played at Lord's Cricket ground and the dates have also been confirmed by ICC in their schedule this year . The final will be played in the last week of the March 2023 between top two teams who will qualify for the finals

Lord’s Cricket ground is known for its history and big finals played at this stadium . Every cricketer just wants to play a match there , it is the dream of a lot of players to play in this ground . Indian Cricket team also had good memories in this stadium, in fact , India had won their first World Cup against West Indies in the same ground in 1983 under the captaincy of Kapil Dev.
